This program funds publicly funded law enforcement and correctional agencies to acquire body-worn cameras and develop comprehensive BWC programs. It supports reliable video evidence for criminal investigations, improves prosecutorial outcomes, deters assaults on officers, and helps exonerate officers falsely accused of misconduct.
