This program funds law enforcement agencies to establish or support intellectual property enforcement task forces. It focuses on preventing and reducing IP theft, supporting investigations and prosecutions of IP crimes, and reducing violent crime linked to IP cases. The scope includes copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and applies to jurisdictions in the US and abroad.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city or township, special district governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, other Native American tribal organizations, and other units of local government such as towns, boroughs, parishes, and villages.
