The Hanna H. Gray Fellows Program supports postdoctoral scientists conducting basic biological and biomedical research at HHMI eligible institutions. It provides up to two years of salary or stipend support, fellowship expenses, and tailored professional development to help fellows transition to independent faculty careers. Fellows who secure qualifying faculty positions become Freeman Hrabowski Scholars. The program targets those with no more than 7 years of postdoctoral experience by Dec 15, 2026, with applications opening Nov 3, 2026.
Open to postdoctoral scientists with PhD/MD and no more than 7 years of postdoctoral experience by Dec 15, 2026. Must conduct research in basic biological and biomedical sciences at HHMI eligible institutions and intend to start a tenure-track or equivalent faculty position by May 1, 2030. US work a
