The Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award provides up to five years of protected time for intensive research career development under the guidance of an experienced mentor. It is designed to prepare candidates with research doctoral degrees for future research independence through sustained mentorship and focused research activities.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of government entities, educational institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, tribal organizations, and others as specified. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply.
