This program funds foundational research advancing computing approaches based on wave dynamics principles. It offers two tracks: exploratory EAGER awards for early-concept ideas and larger four-year awards up to $2 million for multidisciplinary projects. Proposals must demonstrate potential for long-term impact on strategic technology priorities and national science missions. Collaboration with industry is encouraged, and eligibility includes U.S. institutions and non-profit organizations with qualified PIs.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based non-profit, non-academic organizations associated with research or education, and accredited U.S. institutions of higher education. Lead PIs must be full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty or hold substantial research appointments aligned with project goals.
