This opportunity provides formula funding to eligible local governments to support hiring additional personnel, purchasing equipment and supplies, and obtaining training and technical assistance for criminal justice or civil proceedings. It addresses public safety challenges such as violent crime, human trafficking, and the opioid crisis across eleven program areas.
Eligible applicants include county, city or township, special district, and Native American tribal governments, as well as other units of local government. Applicants should verify eligibility via FY26 JAG allocations before applying.
