The ACS Award for Creative Invention honors a single inventor whose patented research in chemistry or chemical engineering has positively impacted material prosperity and happiness. The award includes $5,000 and travel reimbursement to the award meeting. Eligible inventions must have been patented within 17 years prior to January 1, 2027, with the nominee listed as inventor.
Open to inventors regardless of personal characteristics. Nominees must have a granted patent listing them as inventor, developed within 17 years before January 1, 2027, with patent copy submitted.
