The ACS Award for Affordable Green Chemistry honors outstanding scientific discoveries that enable environmentally-friendly products or manufacturing processes at costs comparable to or less than current technologies. It supports innovations with compelling cost/benefit profiles and significant commercial potential. The award includes $15,000 and travel reimbursement for the award presentation meeting.
Nominees can be individuals, research teams (up to 3), or representatives from organizations including companies, universities, or national labs. Work must have significant commercial potential but no commercial success or timeframe restrictions.
