This competition funds domestic commercial entities with viable technical plans to develop and deploy the first fault-tolerant, scientifically relevant quantum computing capability. It aims to accelerate development timelines, scale quantum hardware and software, and create scientific workflows to ensure quantum computers contribute to national scientific and technological advancement.
Eligible applicants are domestic for-profit organizations excluding small businesses, and small businesses themselves. The competition targets commercial entities with technical plans aligned to DOE's Quantum Genesis program.
