This award provides salary and research support to junior faculty and scientists at Low- and Middle-Income Country academic or research institutions for mentored biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research. Projects must leverage NIH research investments and produce knowledge relevant to both U.S. and LMIC health. Recipients receive mentoring from senior U.S. and LMIC researchers to develop as global research leaders and mentors.
Eligible applicants are junior faculty and research scientists based at academic or research institutions in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Only non-U.S. foreign institutions are eligible; U.S. organizations' foreign components are not eligible.
