This opportunity funds the implementation and enhancement of veterans treatment courts that integrate substance use disorder and mental health treatment, mandatory drug testing, incentives, sanctions, and transitional services. It targets high-risk veterans in the criminal justice system, including those with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and histories of violence, aiming to reduce opioid, stimulant, and other substance use.
