This funding opportunity supports establishing a national center to assist state, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies and related service providers in effectively supporting veterans. The center will offer tools, training, and technical assistance on military culture, combat trauma, PTSD, TBI, and other veteran-specific issues, addressing critical gaps in veteran identification and cross-system coordination to improve outcomes and public safety.
Eligible applicants include public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status (excluding institutions of higher education), for-profit organizations other than small businesses, and small businesses.
