This program funds multidisciplinary research projects at U.S. degree-granting institutions in science and engineering, including DoD institutions and eligible University Affiliated Research Centers. Research must address specific MURI topics outlined in the full announcement. Collaborations with ineligible organizations are allowed but such entities cannot receive funds directly. The total funding amount is $15 million with proposals due by April 9, 2027.
Eligible applicants are U.S. institutions of higher education with degree-granting programs in science or engineering, including DoD institutions and eligible University Affiliated Research Centers. Industry, DoD labs, FFRDCs, and foreign entities may collaborate but cannot receive funds directly.
