This competitive grant program funds improvements to forensic science and medical examiner/coroner services, including laboratories operated by state and local governments. It supports projects that enhance forensic capabilities and services provided by these entities, including Native American tribal governments and organizations.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city or township, special district governments, and Native American tribal governments and organizations. Both federally recognized and other tribal entities may apply.
