This grant supports advanced engineering research and development of innovative technologies designed to solve rehabilitation challenges and promote exercise and health among people with disabilities. Funded projects have a 60-month duration with annual budget periods, aiming to improve rehabilitation services by removing environmental barriers and enhancing technology effectiveness.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and tribal governments; public and private institutions of higher education; nonprofits; for-profit organizations including small businesses; and faith-based and community organizations meeting eligibility criteria. Foreign entities are not eligible.
