This program funds competitive research grants to Water Resources Research Institutes established under the Water Resources Research Act of 1984. Eligible institutes are located in all US states, DC, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam, and associated territories. The grants support water resources research excluding health effects involving human subjects and oceanography. Federal employees may collaborate as Co-PIs but cannot serve as PIs or receive funds. Applications must meet program objectives and reporting requirements.
