This funding supports state, local, and tribal governments in projects that reduce crime and recidivism by addressing urgent justice system challenges. Projects should use data to identify issues and redirect resources to strategies and populations most likely to reduce crime, covering areas such as law enforcement, prosecution, sentencing, jails, probation, and parole.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city or township, special district, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments, as well as other local government units such as towns, boroughs, parishes, and villages.
