Provides financial incentives to low-income residents in disadvantaged California communities to retire older, polluting vehicles and replace them with cleaner hybrid, plug-in hybrid, zero-emission vehicles, or alternative mobility options such as e-bikes and public transit vouchers. Also offers home charger incentives or prepaid charge cards for eligible electric vehicle buyers.
Eligible applicants are low-income residents living within or near disadvantaged communities in specified California air districts including San Joaquin Valley, South Coast, Bay Area, and Sacramento.
