The Writing Freedom Fellowship supports writers impacted by the criminal legal system, both inside and outside carceral settings. It funds creative work in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction, providing recipients with professional development, mentorship, shared learning opportunities, and an award to advance their unique creative practices while envisioning a world beyond the criminal legal system.
