The NSF ELEGANT program seeks to translate low-dimensional semiconductor technologies from laboratory demonstrations into platforms for U.S. manufacturers to develop and deploy advanced microelectronics. It aims to position the U.S. for success in developing next-generation capabilities for artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, advanced communications, and other critical technology areas. The program advances innovation in low-dimension materials for semiconductor manufacturing and bridges the gap between laboratory demos and industry-relevant platforms. NSF released an Other Transaction Agreement Solutions Offering (OTASO) seeking an Ecosystems Coordinator and Expert Performer Teams in five translation themes: Manufacturable Materials Platform; Process Technology and Process Design Kit; Device, Circuit and Full-Chip Demonstration; Manufacturing Readiness and Transition; AI-Enabled Acceleration.
