This grant supports researchers in initiating international scientific collaborations by funding exploratory workshops, project-related trips abroad, and guest visits in Germany. Funding covers visits up to three months and must be used within 12 months of approval. It excludes support for conferences, joint research projects, or network meetings. Eligible applicants are doctorate holders working in the German scientific system, with special provisions for non-university research institution members.
