The EMBRACE program supports faculty at non-R1 institutions in geosciences to overcome barriers like high teaching loads and limited resources. It funds Seed proposals for initiating or building research and education programs and Growth proposals for establishing independent research programs, including support for students, postdocs, salary, and research expenses.
Open to faculty members in geosciences-related disciplines at non-R1 institutions, including minority serving institutions, two-year colleges, primarily undergraduate institutions, and emerging research and masters level institutions.
