This grant provides annual funding of up to $10,000 per county in North Carolina to support youth sports. Eligible local governments, school units, and nonprofits can apply to purchase sports equipment or make facility improvements that primarily benefit youth sports. Applications are accepted for all 100 counties, with some 2026 funds still available in select counties and the 2027 application opening by November 16.
Eligible applicants are local government agencies, local school administrative units, and 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in any of North Carolina's 100 counties.
