The Trailblazer R21 Award supports New and Early Stage Investigators pursuing exploratory, developmental, proof of concept, or high risk-high impact research at the interface of life sciences, engineering, and physical sciences. It provides $400,000 in direct costs over three years to enable innovative projects with minimal preliminary data, including technology design-directed, discovery-driven, or hypothesis-driven approaches.
Open to New and Early Stage Investigators. Applicants should be pursuing new or emerging research programs with minimal or no preliminary data.
