Supports First Nations students with high-cost special education needs by funding direct services such as professional assessments, educational psychological and speech services, special education personnel, and adaptive materials. Also funds indirect services including professional development, parent information, lodging, transportation, and accommodations. Proposals are accepted annually with regional submission deadlines.
Eligible applicants include First Nations, federal schools, provincial ministries of education, provincial school boards or districts, and organizations designated by First Nations. Applicants must serve First Nations students with high-cost special education needs.
