This funding supports international co-funded research projects under a multi-annual thematic programme. Projects led by SNSF can last up to 48 months, while those led by FNR last up to 36 months, starting simultaneously in both countries. Applicants may hold two simultaneous grants if topics differ, with special language considerations for humanities and social sciences.
Applicants may hold a maximum of two simultaneous project funding grants, with one being a Weave/Lead Agency/International Co-Investigator Scheme project. The topics of the two projects must be clearly distinct.
