The BoSS program supports innovative, low-cost, rapid, and scalable methods to induce reversible biostasis in cells used in biologics manufacturing and cell therapies. It encourages international partnerships but excludes entities from certain countries. Applications require a Solution Pitch slide deck, cost proposal, and certified biosketches. Active SAM.gov registration is mandatory at the Solution Pitch stage.
Eligible applicants include academic and commercial entities with active SAM.gov registration by the Solution Pitch stage. Awards exclude entities from Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China. Government entities and FFRDCs may participate only with special waivers.
