This award supports highly innovative and high-impact research projects in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular fields that have the potential to lead to critical discoveries or major advancements. It encourages proposals based on unexplored ideas and does not accept preliminary data. Eligible principal investigators must hold doctoral-level degrees in biomedical or clinical sciences.
Applicants must be principal investigators holding a post-baccalaureate PhD or equivalent doctoral-level clinical degree such as MD, DO, DVM, PharmD, or PhD in nursing, public health, or clinical sciences.
