This fellowship supports UC Berkeley graduate students who have not yet advanced to candidacy and plan to conduct research in international and area studies. Funding covers travel, lodging, and research-related expenses to facilitate pre-dissertation work from both contemporary and historical perspectives.
Open to UC Berkeley graduate students in all fields who have not advanced to candidacy by fall of the fellowship term, including terminal MA students.
