The Sustainable Materials Challenge 2027 connects startups developing innovative sustainable materials technologies with global corporate partners. It funds startups from prototype to scaleup stages working in bio-based, circular, functional materials, fibre/paper, waste valorisation, and advanced processing. Participants gain access to R&D units, pilot projects, investments, and visibility at a physical pitch event in Switzerland with travel support.
Eligible applicants are startups and scaleups from seed to series C+ with prototype-stage or proof-of-concept sustainable materials technologies. Applicants must align strategically with corporate partners and be able to travel to Europe.
