This initiative funds 100 EU cities and 12 associated cities to become climate-neutral and smart by 2030. It supports the creation of Climate City Contracts outlining roadmaps in energy, buildings, waste management, and transport. The program provides funding, hands-on support, and facilitates access to further resources to accelerate urban climate neutrality and innovation.
Eligible applicants include local authorities, citizens, businesses, investors, and national and regional bodies involved in the selected 100 EU cities and 12 associated cities. Cities are selected from a competitive pool of applicants.
