This program provides funding to states, designated recipients, and local governmental entities operating fixed route bus services to replace, rehabilitate, and purchase buses and related equipment. It also supports construction of bus-related facilities and technological innovations for low- or no-emission vehicles through formula and competitive grants, including sub-programs focused on low and zero-emission vehicle projects.
Eligible applicants include designated recipients and state or local governmental entities operating fixed route bus services eligible under Urbanized Area Formula and Rural Formula programs.
