The Bridge Formula Program funds projects to replace, rehabilitate, preserve, protect, and construct highway bridges on public roads. Funds are apportioned to States, DC, Puerto Rico, and include set-asides for Tribal and off-system bridges, with some federal shares up to 100%. Projects must comply with Title 23 requirements and are treated as if on Federal-aid highways.
Eligible applicants include States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Tribal transportation facility bridges, local agencies, and federally-recognized Tribes owning off-system bridges.
