This program provides funding to local government units in Georgia to support first responder agencies including law enforcement, fire services, paramedics, and EMTs. Grants may be used to purchase equipment, supplies, technology, and other materials directly related to first responder functions, prioritizing applicants in equity-eligible counties and those without recent similar funding.
Only units of local government in Georgia may apply on behalf of first responder agencies. Priority is given to applicants in counties eligible for equity funding and those who have not received similar state funding in the past year.
