The CDDRL 2027-28 Fellowships fund pre- and postdoctoral researchers to spend an academic year at Stanford focusing on research and data analysis to finalize and publish dissertation work. Research topics include democracy, development, democracy promotion efficacy, and rule of law. Named fellowships support specialized research in rule of law and Israeli studies.
Pre-doctoral applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program and in the dissertation write-up phase. Post-doctoral applicants must have earned their Ph.D. within 3 years or defend by July 31, 2027.
