The Stefan Bergman Fellowship supports untenured mathematicians specializing in real analysis, complex analysis, or partial differential equations. The $25,000 award for the 2027-2028 academic year can be used flexibly for research activities including release time, travel, childcare, or participation in research programs. AMS membership is included. Institutions may not charge overhead or indirect costs on the fellowship.
Applicants must be mathematicians at US institutions specializing in real analysis, complex analysis, or partial differential equations. They must be untenured and not have held significant fellowship support.
