This grant funds Georgia local governments to implement transformational community projects that catalyze upward mobility and improve government service efficiency. Priority is given to affordable housing initiatives including property conversion, housing infrastructure, land banking, preservation, and water/wastewater system consolidation. Applicants submit pre-applications on a rolling basis and must meet audit and certification compliance.
Only units of general-purpose local government in Georgia not participating in HUD’s CDBG Entitlement program may apply. Applications can be individual or joint, with compliance on audit and grant certification requirements.
