The Community Legacy Program funds local governments and community development organizations to undertake projects that strengthen communities. Funded activities include business retention and attraction, homeownership promotion, commercial revitalization, mixed-use development, streetscape and façade improvements, real estate acquisition, and strategic demolition. Projects should leverage community strengths and address revitalization challenges to support Sustainable Communities Action Plans.
Eligible applicants include local governments, community development organizations such as county councils and downtown partnerships, and groups of local governments with shared goals.
