This grant supports nonprofit and non-taxable agencies operating bookmobiles that travel to underserved neighborhoods to provide books for children from preschool through grade 8. Funds must be used exclusively for purchasing books and cannot cover administrative or operational costs. The program aims to advance literacy and foster a love of reading among at-risk youth in the United States.
Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and other non-taxable agencies, including public libraries or schools, operating bookmobiles serving underserved youth.
