The Research Support Fund provides annual grants to Canadian postsecondary institutions and affiliated research hospitals to support expenses related to managing federally funded research. Funding supports lab maintenance, equipment, access to knowledge resources, research management, administrative support including equity and compliance, and knowledge transfer. Eligibility is based on recent tri-agency funding and notification by TIPS.
Eligible applicants are Canadian degree- or diploma-granting postsecondary institutions authorized by provincial or territorial governments, that have received tri-agency research funding in the past three fiscal years and are notified by TIPS.
