The Sophie Danforth Conservation Biology Fund supports conservation programs worldwide that protect threatened wildlife and habitats. Funding targets field studies and projects employing multi-disciplinary approaches to biodiversity and ecosystem conservation, including environmental education and integrative breeding programs. Projects with in-country collaborators or aligned with RWPZoo's portfolio receive highest priority. Funding excludes invasive research and specimen collection, and requires organizational applicants with English applications and signed recommendations.
Applicants must be affiliated with an organization capable of receiving funds; funding is awarded to organizations, not individuals. No nationality restrictions. Applications must be in English with two recent signed recommendation letters. Projects involving invasive research or specimen collection
