This internal grant supports UT Dallas social sciences faculty in collecting preliminary data and establishing new collaborations to enable external funding applications. It funds supplies, equipment, graduate student stipends, and postdoctoral support up to $8,000 for 12 months. Applicants must submit detailed proposals and commit to seeking external funding within 12 to 18 months. Progress reports and presentations are required, and funding must be acknowledged in publications.
Eligible applicants are full-time UT Dallas faculty with PI eligibility, excluding adjunct, affiliate, visiting researchers, and postdocs as PIs. Prior awardees must wait three years to reapply.
