The SBIR and STTR programs provide qualified small businesses with funding from $150,000 to $1 million to support research and development of innovative technologies that meet federal needs. These programs enable small businesses to determine technology feasibility and develop prototypes without repayment or ownership loss. Technical assistance is available through the FAST Center for entrepreneurs in Illinois.
Eligible applicants are qualified small businesses. The funding is specifically targeted to small businesses engaged in research and development of technology.
