This funding supports research to aid cisco restoration in Lakes Huron and Erie by hiring a structured decision-making expert and convening a workshop to develop restoration plans. It also funds scientific experiments to identify optimal environmental conditions for producing high-quality cisco in hatcheries for reintroduction.
Applicants must be participating partners of the Great Lakes-Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit. Eligibility is unrestricted beyond this partnership requirement.
