This cooperative agreement supports research focused on the invasive grass-fire cycle in the eastern sagebrush biome, particularly native grasslands of the Northern Great Plains. Funded projects will collaborate with USDA and Wyoming Department of Agriculture to map invasive grass spread and develop effective management strategies. The work aims to improve wildfire resilience by informing targeted post-fire interventions and advancing priorities such as energy dominance, water security, and natural hazard preparedness.
Eligible applicants must be participating partners of the Rocky Mountains Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program. This opportunity is issued under the CESU Program and targets partners providing research, technical assistance, and education.
