This funding opportunity supports United States small businesses in advancing research and development efforts initiated in Phase I SBIR projects. It includes Phase II, Fast-Track, and Direct to Phase II applications, enabling small businesses to bring scientific innovations to the marketplace. Collaborations with research institutions are permitted only as subcontractors, with the PD/PI primarily employed by the small business.
Only United States small business concerns are eligible to apply. The Project Director/Principal Investigator must have primary employment (>50%) with the small business. Research institutions may participate only as subcontractors.
