The NY Nutrition and Obesity Research Center offers Pilot and Feasibility grants to support obesity-related research, especially studies on obesity and cancer. Eligible applicants include early career researchers and established investigators proposing preliminary studies, innovative/high-risk projects, or new obesity-related research. Awards provide up to $50,000 for one year, with possible renewal based on progress and funding availability. Indirect costs are not allowed, and funds may support research expenses and salaries.
Eligible applicants include Assistant Professors, Associate Research Scientists, Postdoctoral Fellows, and established investigators without prior obesity funding. Graduate students and those with prior pilot funding in obesity research are not eligible.
