This initiative funds immersive language programs combining a summer domestic component and a fall overseas component, each offering up to 60 hours per week of language instruction and interaction. Participants receive academic credit, engage in homestays, tutoring, excursions, and community activities, and benefit from cohort-based support covering safety, health, housing, visas, and logistics. Summer and fall program participation is mandatory, with many costs covered including tuition, housing, meals, and airfare.
Open to undergraduate Boren Scholars and graduate Boren Fellows. Applicants must participate in both summer and fall programs as part of the initiative.
