This grant supports collaborative partnerships between Local Education Agencies and Commission-approved teacher preparation programs to expand, strengthen, or create teacher residency programs. Funding can establish new programs targeting shortage fields and local efforts to recruit, support, and retain a diverse teacher workforce.
Eligible applicants are Local Education Agencies or consortia partnering with Commission-approved teacher preparation programs at regionally accredited higher education institutions.
