About this grant

This prize recognizes the best graduate student papers on East and Inner Asia topics presented at the 2027 AAS Annual Conference. Winners receive $400, a certificate, and up to $600 travel support to attend the 2028 conference. The award fosters emerging scholarship and intellectual exchange among junior and senior scholars in the field.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are graduate students currently registered in doctoral programs who have been accepted to present papers at the 2027 AAS Annual Conference on East and Inner Asia topics.
